Mental disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism are chronic and frequent diseases. They constitute five of the top ten causes of disability in the world. Their total estimated cost in Europe is of €600 billion, i.e. 4% of the GDP, which is more than the combined costs of cancer and diabetes.
To tackle this major challenge of the 21st century, precision medicine for psychiatry is the only way.
Precision Psychiatry will improve diagnosis and treatments by identifying homogeneous subgroups of patients.
